With Movio’s updated research console, users can see even more insights and data points with extended self-serve capabilities that enable you to truly understand your audience.
This audience data can be trusted, as it comes directly from the exhibitor’s point of sale, is normalised against MPAA’s data, and represents approximately 5% of the total US box office.
Daily Flash Reports
This update features the addition of a weekly summary tab, giving users the power now to leverage the entire previous day’s box office data, updated daily at 9:00am, rather than waiting for Monday mornings. With this new self-serve capability, audiences constantly have updated data on the weekly summary of movie performances.
This new tab features:
- Detailed information on every current in-cinema movie performance.
- The ability to filter data by daily details, weekly summary, and weekend summary.
- The ability to select and view summaries of a particular movie or week.
- The ability to download into a CSV file.
New Data Points
We’ve added new categories of data to Movio Research, allowing users to quickly find and filter new information, including moviegoer transaction sources, recency of visits, and the number of tickets sold in each transaction. These additional data points make Movio Research 3.0 a more powerful product for you to understand your movie’s audience.
It’s also now easier to get valuable data insights in seconds. New dropdown menus allow users to easily select genres and years for comparisons in a flash. Adjusted weighting methodology reflects the post-pandemic audience composition, which, along with updated admissions categories, provides an even clearer picture of audiences.
One of the new features of this Movio Research update is the lifecycle report. The lifecycle report gives users an easy-to-view summary of individual movie performances, including the ability to select and view summaries of a particular movie or week.
The lifecycle report provides comprehensive insights into all existing and new categories of data, including:
- Age of children attending.
- % of tickets purchased with a child.
- Place of ticket purchase.
- Individual’s education levels and occupation.
From this, users can dig deep into movies to see the complete picture of their audience.
